“Shopeniana” is a ballet staged by the Russian choreographer Michail Fokin in early XX century. The new life to this ballet was given by the stars of Mariinsky Theater Natalia Bolshakova and Vadim Gulyayev together with the “Ural Ballet” tutors. Artist decorated the stage based on Alexander Benua and Lev Bakst sketches that they had created for Serge Dyagilev’s theater company.

“Carnival” is a ballet pantomime. The exact choreographic text has not survived, but Fokin left a detailed verbal record of the action that was taken as the basis for performance by a dancer and choreographer Alexander Sergeyev (who earlier produced L.A.D. performance).For the “Carnival” he recovered the original decoration by Lev Bakst from 1910.   

“Pesnyary” the State Ensemble of Belarus is a team of like-minded individuals promoting the special inimitable style in line with traditions set by Vladimir Mulyavin, the founder of the team.
